C.D. "Panning for Gold" Released: July 1999 C.D. " New Releases" Released: August 2000 Management/Booking: Saldo Kreek Publishing: Saldo Kreek Promotion: Saldo Kreek Saldo Kreek was formed in October of 1996 under the premise of writing and performing original material. In October of 1997, recording began on tracks that would eventually become our debut c.d. "Panning for Gold". The c.d. was financed by the band with the hopes of creating a vehicle that would display our talents as songwriters and musicians. The release of "Panning for Gold", in July of 1999, was a major step for the group. Two songs from "Panning for Gold" have been selected for two individual CD compilation projects. In July of 2000, Oasis CD Manufacturing selected "The Devil You've Been Paying" for their CD "Oasis Acoustic Sampler" that is earmarked for radio distribution across the U.S. In August of 2000, a second compilation disc, produced by Bandsolution.com, an Internet music site, selected "Passed You By" for their CD that will be sold to the general public as well as distributed to radio, major labels and publishers. Additional achievements include the nomination for "Best Original Band of 1999" in the Suburban Nite Life readers poll. Personnel changes took place in October of 1999 with the resignation of the band's drummer and second guitarist. Although unfortunate at first, the end result has found Saldo Kreek opening music doors by creating a softer sound with acoustic based melodies and violin accompaniment. The songwriting team of Ray Johnson and Tom Wade continue to offer new material and still lay claim to gems of the past. Saldo Kreek is Ray Johnson: 6 & 12 string acoustic, 6 string electric and lead vocals, Tom Wade: Harmonica, accordion, congas, percussion and lead vocals, Dave Bieritz: Acoustic & Electric Bass and Carrie Davids: Tenor and Baritone Violin.
