A friendship in music that has spanned more than 20 years. The band is named after a retired ride at Magic Mountain, a Southern California amusement park. Childhood classmates Milo Todesco, Gabe Gonzales, and Randy Vild grew up sharing a passion for music in Simi Valley, CA. Each began to create their own music at a young age. As they matured, their interests in music expanded, as did their individual talent. In their late teens, the boys and a few close friends would gather themselves deep in the hills of Simi Valley and play music together. There, many beautiful songs were uncovered and the vibe began. In the late 80’s, Milo met an inventive bass player named Terry Moore while playing in local bands. In the summer of 1995, Milo asked Randy to collaborate on a few creative musical ideas. They quickly invited Gabe and Terry to join in. The boys wrote many songs together but always felt that a female voice would complete the band. Randy found their songbird, Laurie Martz, a few years later while working at a local club. The chemistry was right and thus completed Magic Pagoda.
