Octalux is a four peice band hailing from somerset KY.

We all started out in different local bands over the years. There were very few places to play shows, therefore we created our own shows and finally started a somewhat music scene in our area. Four bands which were well known (and still are) kinda' split up at the same time well in the same year.

Brandon hurley came from the band DARK:30. Shane Morrow and Lance Abbott came from the bands UnBroKen / ZERO ZERO. Ric Winstead came from the band DOC which still plays shows from time to time.

In the time that we spent in other bands we all have encoutered "connections" for various shows in the surrounding bars, colleges and festivals which really helps get us involved in other music scenes.

We all love what we do in music. We use our music as a way to escape life for a short time. Not caring what anyone else really thinks. We all have about the same outlook toward music although, we all have somewhat different styles in a sense. In return this makes our music very diverse and intense!

We have currently been in the "Woodshed" recording studio working on our first album that we have been calling "What it is...". Twleve to fourteen songs that will be out this summer!

Come to one of our shows and be one of our 'Lux fans, let us beat the living 'Lux out of you, make you cry with intense lyrics, or why not dance and most definetly MOSH!!
