15-year-old Jennifer Renter may be a teenager but she possesses an artistic focus and dedication beyond her years. Performing in front of audiences as part of various choirs since the age of four, Renter soon acquired a passion for performance that still drives her today.

"I feel safe on the stage, and I know that everyone in the crowd is there to support me all the way," notes Renter.

At the age of nine, Renter began actively cultivating her natural talent through vocal lessons. She admits that the lessons were intended for fun at first but quickly became more than just a hobby.

"This is what I want to do till I die," announces a decisive Renter. "I am still working very hard each and every day getting many things done, and many new opportunities are popping up. It's amazing to see how much hard work has paid off!"

Growing up in a musically rich environment in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada has helped Renter remain focused on her goal of sharing her music. Her mother plays piano and sings, while older brother, David, is currently pursuing a degree in Jazz Composition. Renter says that David is her greatest musical influence. "He has gone through so much in his life with his music, I am so proud that he has stayed focused and upbeat in what he really loves to do as a professional career."

Renter also finds inspiration in artists like Jo Dee Messina, whose voice she describes as "amazingly delicate," and in teen icon Britney Spears, whose courage and strength keep Renter motivated to stay positive. Finally, Jennifer Renter applauds all of her fellow unsigned acts who "love music for what it is, not for the image of it."

"There are no words on this planet to tell anyone what music means to me. It gives me the chance to express myself in many ways that I can't if I didn't do this. If I am not listening to music, there is something wrong. You'll never catch me not listening to music. If I am out somewhere, say at the mall, I still have a song in my head. Music is always running through me. It keeps me going."

Jennifer Renter is determined not to let the flashy allure of the music industry define who she is. She is a firm-believer in "reaping what you sow." Not in a rush to achieve too much too fast, Renter's motto: if you stay true to what you believe you will achieve your goals.
