Winter 1989 --
bassist Brian San Marco, guitarist Kenny Mitchell, and drummer Robert De La Torre started a band. Shortly after, they added percussionist Keith Poncher. Best friends and band mates since high school, the band (known then as "Eleven:Eleven") has played in clubs all over Los Angeles.
1993 --
Jeddrah founded, jed. a music group to spotlight her singing and songwriting ability. She started singing and writing songs at age 9. She has always been on the lookout for musicians that help continue the process of refining her creativity.
March 1999 --
Jeddrah found out that Eleven:Eleven needed a lead vocalist. After meeting and rehearsing together, everyone was eager to join forces. In the proceeding months the new jed. was up on its toes gigging throughout Los Angeles with inspiring new material. jed. incorporated the beautiful and talented Lisa Castle for backing vocals as icing on their cake.
A few months later --
Jerrold C. Launer recorded "Ride", their first single. This inspired a swooning of writing and plans to record a full-length record. Through diligent performances and writing new material over the following months, jed. had their list of songs ready and refined for recording.
In March of 2000, with luck, good fortune, and the help of Executive Producer Timothy B. Schmit and Producer Hank Linderman, they began recording "If These Shoes Could Talk", their first full-length album.
Shortly after being nominated by The Los Angeles Music Awards group for "most outstanding performance by a pop artist," released "If These Shoes Could Talk", under their own independent label, DIGGY RECORDS.
Plans for writing new material for the second album are already brewing and the gigging hasn't ceased. "There is very little that they need to do to improve their act since they're obviously a band who has found their niche - and has a fan base to prove it" - (Music Connection, May 2000).
Plans for touring to promote their album are in the works. Listed as one of "LA's Hottest unsigned bands for 2000" (Music Connection, December 2000), jed. is seen all over Los Angeles in the following venues: The Gig Hollywood & West Los Angeles, Luna Park, The Troubadour, The Key Club, The Whisky, Club Lush, Dragonfly, Martini Lounge, The Westend, Rusty's Surf Ranch, and more.
If you're out of town or out of state, keep an ear and eye out for jed., because they are on a roll and on their way to perform for you live and on the radio.
