To hear and see Deep River Meltdown [drm] is both rewarding and refreshing. Their influences range from the likes of Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Bad Company, The Black Crowes, and Government Mule.
They have collectively opened for Wishbone Ash, Elwood, Milo Z, Maceo Parker, Bernie Worrel, The Ventures, Warrant, Ed Ojeda (Twisted Sister), Paul D'Anno (Iron Maiden), White Trash, Warrior Soul and G. Love and Special Sauce. Because of these accomplishments, Deep River Meltdown has been featured in various local music magazines and given praise of their talent and their performance.
Deep River Meltdown has recently released a two-song demo that they hope will soar to new heights. Their self-titled EP, released in 1999, was a tremendous success and contained two commendable tracks: "Sometimes" and "Shoehorn." They managed to unload five thousand copies statewide, and continue to sell discs (while supplies last) at performances in the Tri-State Area. They have been spotted on local cable shows in upper Westchester and they have also made appearances at a number of charity/benefit shows.
If you find out they're playing around your neighborhood, stop by and give a listen..You'll never know unless you try.
