So we offer to all who took time to read this biography a sample of our most recent work, the How Beautiful We Are ep. Dimmerswitch formed in the summer of 1995 and released their first ep, Opaque Veneer, that summer. With a few line-up changes and a re-tooling of the band's sound, the original singer/guitarist and bassist have kept the dream alive. With a more powerful backbone and updated sonic characteristics, Dimmerswitch has found the remaining pieces to needed complete their 'Organic,' sound; a sound constructed for the loyal fans of Dimmerswitch.

Christopher Dorsey (guitars, vocals) has been playing guitar professionally for over ten years and has worked with such acts as Uncle Fester, Jupiter Seven, and Neptune. His influences include The Pixies, James Hall, The Mamas and Papas, and many others. Christopher released a solo album in 1999 entitled Liber 7 that contains seven acoustic tracks. In a music world where negativity and hate sometimes over shadows, Christopher breathes life into the vocals of Dimmerswitch with messages of hope and honesty while reflecting life's trials and tribulations in a more positive light.

Daniel Taylor (bass, vocals) has been in the Atlanta music scene for over twelve years and has graced such projects as Path of Allyson, I.R.R., Translucent, as well as many other guest appearances. His influences include SDRE, Mary My Hope, Peter Murphy, and Seven Simons. As the foundation of Dimmerswitch, Daniel exemplifies the slang meaning of 'catchy bass line.' Mr. Taylor reminds us of the power that bass can add to any band.

Greg Mensching (drums) originally hails from New York. He's been playing for over fourteen years. With extensive touring across the NE U.S. with Jupiter Boy in the mid 90's, and more recently with The Tim Morgan Project and Wah Wah Jones out of Nashville, TN. Greg, the backbone, drives dimmerswitch and claims that ALL musicians influence him and his playing.

Dimmerswitch is not just a band, it's a way of thinking. (Say whatever you want! and try to include members/instruments as well):
