Lily Sickles (vocals/guitar) and Bingo Sanatra ( lead guitar/vocals) are the core of Blisster, and have been active in the New York City music scene in such bands as Big Skinny and Sweet Little Roxana, respectively and The Swingers and The Munsons collectively. Bingo also writes and performs for Ether with Mauro Felipe, bassist for Bela (Mother West recording artists). Gerry White (drums) has been equally active in Violet Love and Broke, as well asÊprojects with Chris Haskett, former Rollins Band guitarist. Athena Butterfield (bass/vocals) rounds out the band. Lily and Bingo aim to write songs that are diverse in form, style, and content: from monster ballads (Only You} to catchy new wave inspired pop (Day after Day, Stereo) to hook-laden rock (Hallowed Ground, High Velocity), an eerie, countryesque number (20 Minutes) and even the standard love song, done in their own hypnotic, powerful style (Brown Eyes). All are infused with melody and energy. Their primary aim, besides honing their craft and expanding their style, is to have fun and enjoy themselves, and that their audience follows suit, which is all too often the case at their shows.
