The autobiography of:

K.M.A. REVEAL

Of African descent; artist REVEAL was born and raised in Nottingham, England. His parents are of Nigerian and Jamaican nationality.

Back in 1991 this unique rapper's career started (then aged 20 years old) in a group called "True Security" consisting of two members with an additional third member in 1993. A strictly positive group not following the trend of derogatory lyrics, or the promoting negativism.

True Security found favour and respect in the eyes of some, but scorn in the eyes of others.

Rap themes such as killing, maiming, slandering and blasphemy were not on menu - instead the grouped served up spectacular raps which looked at the analysis of society and offered solutions, whilst revealing the true essence of life.

Being unafraid, True Security dared to take their ideology anywhere and performed at carnivals, talent competitions, and live jams all over England. They were called upon to be a support act for UK rapper - Caveman - at a Derby venue in 1991. This proved to be one of True Security's truly memorable performances, leading to several interviews on local & national radio.

After disbanding in 1996, the other two members of the group pursued other musical careers, whilst Reveal (seeing himself as the "last surviving member" of the crew) continued after a break of two years to re-think a brand new strategy to uphold the belief and ideology of the former group.

Reveal's rap form had now evolved into a "Holistic form of Rap" - dealing with many of today's current issues. He is Pro-Black in his outlook, but with a definite distinction of wanting all people to have their "day in the sun".

Boldly dealing with any subject head-on, KMA has maintained his integrity and refused to be effected by mere peer pressure. Reveal's vision is to be a sort of Moses of the Bible to all Hip Hop heads, and to all those who will listen.

Music styles include East and West coast rap as well as drawing upon influences and flavours such as jazz, 70s grooves with a prominent hip hop, and occasional R&B feel. This streak of creativity blends all musical art forms successfully; creating a new sound, a new feel, a New Rap Era.

The Strategy worked - Reveal came 3rd place in the 1997 Worldwide Unisong Competition. Competing with artists from over 20 different countries, this result was no mean feature: KMA's performance was in conjunction with well-established and award-winning artist Freddie Kofi. The track "Everlasting Love" (released on The Little Giant Record Label in July 1999) won the crowds and judges over with its exotic blend of soul; R&B with a hip-hop edge.

As a follow on from this, Reveal (alongside Freddie Kofi) supported The Honeyz, Five and Alita Hatton in 1998 in a charity event that pulled crowds of over 5,000 people.

More recent performances include the Nottingham Carnival where KMA performed as a support act for world renowned Secular Ragga artists such as Red Rat, Goofy, and Hawk Eye.

Also, he was a part of a Hip Hop group called "Coup de tat". REVEAL maintained his integrity whilst working with a variety of artists with different levels of consciousness, who are often challenged by his unwillingness to compromise his stance.

In 1999, KMA Reveal recorded a track called "Grace" alongside Prodigal Son from the UK. This track was performed on Central Television's Soul Music (hosted by Apache Indian) in June 2000.

The latest track Reveal recorded was with a Nottingham producer by the name of Ridley E - and he is in the process of securing deals with several investors.

"Twice in 2001 we witnessed Reveal's music featured on ITV's 2bdiscovered.com for undiscovered talent in the UK showing that this individual is turning heads wherever he goes."

Numerous radio interviews, features in newspapers & magazines around the country have allowed KMA to continue pushing his music career to a starving public just waiting to hear this dynamic individual.

To sum up, KMA Reveal promises the whole of the Worldwide Rap fraternity a revolutionary form of rap taking hip-hop to a truly higher level.
